Unique Events climax event to mark the end of Highland 2007, Scotland's year of Highland culture on An t-Seann Bliadhn' Ùr - The Old New Year was watched by an estimated 50,000 spectators.
A magical Torchlight Procession featuring pipes and drums, marching bands, street theatre and fire surprises wound its way along the River Ness towards the Kessock Bridge for a spectacular firework finale by Groupe F.
| Regarded by many as the world's leading fireworks company, Groupe F's breathtaking display, choreographed to music was the first ever pyrotechnic show to take place from the iconic Kessock Bridge.
The torchlight procession finished at the official viewing area where the crowd enjoyed music and entertainment before the firework display.
Proceeds from the sale of torches was donated to three local charities, Friends of Arms (The MS Therapy Centre), Barnardo's and Highland Hospice. |
