Managing Director of Unique Events and the creative force behind a host of Scottish festivals and events, Pete Irvine is Artistic Director of Edinburgh’s Hogmanay, the Glasgow Art Fair and the new Freedom Festival in Yorkshire, as well as a host of major events and festivals over the years including the Burns an’ a’ that! Festival, H2007 main event programme and the opening of the Scottish Parliament in 1999.
Pete was the Event Consultant to the Scottish Football Association (SFA) for the UEFA Championships at Hampden, to the Ryder Cup Bid Committee and to the Scottish Executive for the Opening of the new Scottish Parliament in 1999.
Pete Irvine is the author of Scotland the Best, Scotland's best selling independent guide. He was awarded the Scottish Tourist Board’s 'outstanding achievement award' for 2000 (the Silver Thistle), received an MBE for services to the City of Edinburgh in 2001 and an Honorary Doctorate from the Open University in 2008.

Director of Unique Events, with almost 30 years experience running major outdoor events in Scotland, Barry Wright’s main areas of expertise lies in event arena design, health and safety, production and crowd management.
As Technical Director of Edinburgh’s Hogmanay Barry has a wide understanding of the Street Party arena and design and has extensive knowledge of the ongoing safety, security and infrastructure requirements and their planning and implementation. His work with the Safety Group has been instrumental in finding solutions for the containment and crowd control of the Street Party and the revision of costs within a complex safety budget.
Barry has many years experience working with local authorities, police forces and emergency services throughout Scotland and is well respected in his field, helping to create safe, enjoyable events. Barry and Pete set up Regular Music in 1978, becoming Scotland’s first major concert producers.
Barry Wright is also the Director of Castle Concerts, producing concerts at Edinburgh Castle and Stirling Castle.
