A new lighting event for the historic Dean Castle Country Park

The Brief

To help relaunch Dean Castle Country Park’s £3million redevelopment with an illumination trail amongst their newly landscaped grounds.

Our Response

In 2017, Illuminight was created and produced by Unique Events to relaunch East Ayrshire’s flagship attraction Dean Castle Country Park in Kilmarnock, following an extensive £4million redevelopment. In partnership with East Ayrshire Leisure, Illuminight is a spectacular high-production event which transforms the historic castle structure and surrounding 1.5km woodland trail through bespoke fire, light and projection installations which in only two years has welcomed over 80,000 visitors to the East Ayrshire attraction and positioned itself as a leading illumination event in Scotland.

Illuminight has created an exceptional event experience for East Ayrshire and a new winter attraction which is already attracting 52% of our audiences from out with the region, generating economic impact for the area and local employment through the event.

Illuminight continues to position itself as one of the UK’s premier illumination events, combining state of the art lighting installations with specially commissioned visual and music effects all set within the newly renovated grounds of Dean Castle Country Park, offering a magical experience for all ages.
